Susan and Nick Jeszenszky welcome you to their website, featuring their adventures aboard a sailboat named Windswept. Windswept is a Hunter Legend 35.5, fractionally rigged, sailing sloop, equipped to sleep 4 people comfortably. We have owned our sailboat for 5 years and after several years of coastal sailing we dreamed that someday that we would gather up our docklines and cast off in search of new moorings. Getting underway was dependent on so many factors: savings, health, family relationships, friends and lifestyle choices. Ultimately, there comes a point where a decision gets made to go and the reasons to leave outweigh the reasons to stay. That point happened on Oct. 28/07 following a joyful celebration send off the night before.

When not sailing, our boat uses a 27 hp. diesel engine usually for travelling into anchorages, channels, waterways, and for propulsion during wind lulls. Energy is available through a diesel-driven alternator, emergency gas generator, and wind generator. Energy is stored in rechargeable AGM (Absorbed Glass Mat) batteries combined to provide a 12v. power system.

Susan and Nick hope you enjoy your visit to their website and ask that you click on our hyperlink, voyage log. You may see our current log postings and leave us your comments. If you leave an email address we will gladly reply back to you whenever we reach port and can access internet connections.
